Closure

My father's ashes were interred with military honors. Time to wind the clock and begin anew.

Parents dying is the strangest sensation of loss. One of those things you can't imagine until you have experienced it.

Must have been a top guy to receive the military honours too.

Just a couple of weeks ago, I was at Fort Sam Houston National cemetary visiting my Dad's grave. I had not been there since the funeral 10 years ago. It is forever and yesterday.
Military funerals are gut wrenching for me. The 21 gun salute and TAPS reduce me to an emotional mess of tears...
I don't know if closure ever really comes.....
