Blooming Winter Iris

Given all the weird weather we have had this winter, it is amazing that some of our iris have been blooming since December. The are "rebloomers" but in winter? Nice to have the color in the front yard. They are still going strong today (23Feb11). They may be wearing a cloak of snow this weekend if the forecast is correct.

Fisherman's Wharf holiday parade

A little bigger parade than Rio Vista's Christmas boat parade.

Remember tomorrow is Saint Nicholas Day. Get your letters to Santa ready.

Remember to put your letter to Santa in your Christmas stocking. At night the elves come to your home, collect your letter and leave goodies in the stocking if you have been good or potatoes and coal if you have been bad. How else does Santa know what you want for Christmas and have time to get it ready?
